Serving Dancers of Fargo, Moorhead and the Red River Valley
Elite hearts, elite minds, elite dancers
Ms. Katie began her dance career at Dance Studio Elite! She danced with us for 13 years as a member of our competitive program. She traveled all over with us competing and taking classes with Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, and Chris Judd. She moved to Arizona to attend college where she earned her degree in Sociology. While there, her dance training was evident to her instructors and she was asked to join their competitive ballroom program. She fell in love with rumba and samba and danced competitively there for 4 years. While so proud of her, we are delighted to have her back with our Elite family for awhile. She has been teaching for 4 years and her love of all styles shows through in each class.
Miss Kourtney grew up dancing at Music General in Brainerd, MN. There she danced for 15 years, was a member of their successful competitive teams and trained under many greats including Mike Minery, Jen Silvas, and Melody Lacayunga. She moved to the area to pursue her degree in Graphic Design and we were lucky enough to have her join our family. She is in her 7th year teaching with Elite where she has escalated our tap program and won many awards for her choreography. Her dedication to our Elite family shows through each and every day.
Miss Sydney started her dance career off as an Elite dancer! She was with us for 7 years where she was a member of our competitive teams. With us she has attended classes and conventions in New York, Las Vegas, and Chicago training with Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Dave Scott and many more as well as received some very Elite studio experience. She is currently a Pharmacist at the new Sanford Health Center and in her 7th year of teaching at Elite. We’ve loved having her as part of our Elite family in the studio both as a dancer and a teacher and look forward to many more Elite years with her.

Ms. Meleah started dancing at Mary Noel’s School of Dance in Crookston, MN. She danced there for 15 years which gave her the opportunity to travel nationally and compete all over the nation. She knew dancing was something she couldn’t live without when she started teaching for her studio during her sophomore year of high school. She continued to teach for her home studio for 2 years while she pursued her degree in Business Management and Marketing. She chose UMC after receiving a scholarship to stay in the area and help head up the musical theatre department where she choreographed 3 musicals and successfully received grants to start up and keep the program going. She took over Valley Studio of dance in 2002 and changed the name to Dance Elite shortly after. During this time, she has choreographed Music Man, Cinderella, and Footloose for Crookston High School. She has done pageant training and opening number choreography in several local cities. She has choreographed 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, and Tarzan for Moorhead High School. She has choreographed BARE, Next to Normal and American Idiot for Act Up Theatre. In her 16th year owning the studio, she loves every minute with her Elite family and looks forward to more competitions locally and nationally, more opportunities to travel to provide many types of instruction for the dancers, and many more hours in the studio.
